Through compelling performances and the charming characters she has
brought to life on screen, Stefania Spampinato has quickly become one
of the entertainment industry’s most sought-after and versatile
Italian actors on the rise.

Spampinato may be best known for her breakout role as Carina DeLuca,
opposite Ellen Pompeo and Jesse Williams, on ABC’s longest-running
medical drama, “Grey’s Anatomy,” a role she has portrayed since
2017. In 2019, she brought Carina to ABC’s hit action-drama series
“Station 19.”

Previously, Spampinato appeared opposite Matt Damon, Christian Bale
and Caitriona Balfe in the Oscar®-winning drama “Ford vs
Ferrari,” directed by James Mangold. She is also known for her
starring role as Flavia in Paramount Pictures’ Italian blockbuster
“Il Giorno Più Bello Del Mondo,” opposite Alessandro Siani. The
film was in the top five highest-grossing Italian movies of 2019.

Originally from Catania, Sicily, Spampinato started dancing at the age
of 6. Her passion for the arts at a young age was undeniable and after
graduating high school with honors, she moved to Milan where she got a
B.A. in performing arts. This led to a very successful career in dance
and theater that lasted over 10 years, traveling all over the world
joining collaborations with Joaquin Cortez, Kylie Minogue, Leona
Lewis, “The Voice UK,” and “The X Factor US” and “The X
Facotor UK.” In 2011, she bought a one-way ticket to Los Angeles.

Her very first U.S. television credit was on FOX’s hit series
“Glee,” followed by “Satisfaction” on the USA Network.

Additional movie role credits for Spampinato include “Less is
More,” a comedy TV movie for Disney France; “4got10,” opposite
Denny Trejo and Dolph Lundgren; “Darkness Falls,” starring Chaney
Kley and Emma Caulfield; and the 20th Century Fox animated feature
“Spies in Disguise” with the voices of Will Smith and Tom Holland,
amongst others.

In her spare time, she loves to read, travel, dance, practice
Taekwondo and spend time with her famiglia in Sicily.
